Cut out all the pieces needed for this project.

Starting with the tail peices, line them up right sides facing each other and sew around the edges.

Turn the tail right side out and lightly stuff.

Place the tail between the two top body pieces - right sides facing each other. Sew the two top body pieces together.

Align the bottom body piece with the sewn together top body parts & tail, leaving a small gap at the front part of the body.

Turn the body right side out. To make the plushie be weighted, use polyester bean bag pellets to lightly fill in the front and back paws, and add a bit of stuffing in the legs to prevent the pellets from falling out of the legs. Gently fill the body area with additional stuffing, leaving the 'shoulder/hip' areas loose for leg movement. Use the hidden stitch to close the gap. If using a material that is fluffy/fuzzy on the outside (as pictured), carefuly use a needle or pin to 'fluff' the fuzz/fluff out of the seam line for a more smoother look.

Sew the ears on the two outer edges.

Turn the ears right side out. Fluff the seam line if needed.

Fold over a portion of the ear that will be facing the crown of the head. Use pins to hold in place as needed.

with the right sides facing each other, sew the two back of head pieces together.

Sew the two peices for the front of the head together. If you choose to add plastic eyes and/or noses, now would be the time to do so. The next step would make it nearly impossible unless you have very nimble fingers and patience.

With the ears placed between the sewn front and back head pieces, sew together and turn right side out.

Stuff head and use the hidden stitch to close the gap.

Use the hidden stitch to attach head to body. If you've added plastic eyes and nose in a previous step, then you're finished. If not, use another means to add eyes, nose and/or any other additions (whiskers perhaps?) to the plushie.

And there you have your very own kitten sized plushie. Enjoy!
