"Contact the Moon! Tell them to expect incoming!" "Yes, Magisty." "Mother, what's going on? Are we under attack?" asked a red-headed girl all of 6 years old. "Not Exactly..." "What do you mean? We either ARE under attack or we're NOT under attack." "Our home...our star, the Northern Star is becoming an unstable place to live and as such, we must leave. We didn't know it was breaking up until it was too late to try and save it. And even so, I fear not all of us will be able to get off this star in time. As the Queen, I must make sure that everyone else is safely away from here before I can leave here myself." "Then I'm staying too." the child said with much determination. "Oh, no you're not. I've set it up so that you are the first to transport out of here. I want you to remember this one thing. I love you and will always be with you...Even if you can't see me." "Can't see you? What do you mean? Of course I can see you. You're right there." the child said with saddness in her eyes. The Queen sadly smiled as she said, "Some day you will understand, my daughter. Now go to the transport site before I have a guard go take you there personaly." Tears steadily flowed from the girl's eyes as she went to the transport site. Not once did she look back, in fear of what might happen. In a blink of an eye, the girl was transported directly to the Moon Kingdom's transport site. She who was to be the heiress to the throne of the star called Northern Star, of the only place she called home, slouched down by a wall and with her arms around her knees, started crying until she fell asleep. The next morning, the girl woke up to find herself wearing a nightgown that was several sizes too big on her and lying in a very comfortable bed. She sat up. Confusion immediateley set in as she didn't know where she was. Then saddness and panic came in full force. 'Had Mother made it off in time? Did others from Northern Star make it as well? Where am I?' she thought. So intence were her thoughts that she didn't hear the knocking at the bedroom door. It wasn't until a slightly older silvery-white haired girl stood directly to the right of her, that the girl's thoughts were broken. "Mother?" she asked. She then looked up at the older girl and was crestfallen. "Oh." For a few moments neither girl said anything. Then the older one slightly smiled and spoke up. "I'm sorry about what happened to your home star. You were the only one to get off before it broke up. Prehaps I should introduce myself. I am Princess Selenity. My friends call me Serenity. Feel free to stay here for as long as you like." "I'm nobody now. I have no home or family. But thank you for your offer." "Don't discredit yourself. You will always be a somebody. If not to yourself, then to me. Come with me. I'd like to show you something." Serenity led the girl to the balcony right outside of the bedroom. She pointed to a large glowing white star. "See that?" "Yeah. That's Northern Star." the girl wailed. "Please... calm down. I've been told that because of that bright star, something special...something that would bring special meaning to future generations is happening on Earth." What Serenity just told her calmed her down quite a bit. "Think so? Wonder why I never heard of that." the girl asked. Earth was one of the girl's favorite places to read about and to visit. Serenity shrugs her shoulders. "I've only just been told this before I came see you. Here...I want you to have this." Serenity holds up a henshin stick. "A henshin stick? But why me? I'm not a fighter." "Neither is half my court whom also happen to be the second generation of Sailor Senshi and/or Knights. For example, the Princess of Venus, she prefers to drool over guys and read love stories drather than fight any day and the Prince of Mercury likes studying too much. Now this henshin stick I gave you is special. Where as the others are planet based (ie: Mars, Venus, etc), yours is set up to help you search for your own special powers." The younger girl nervously takes the henshin stick. Suddenly a flow of hope and joy fills the girl, tossing all nervousness away. A cheshire cat-like grin appears on the girl's face. "Thank you, Serenity. You are a good and true friend. I feel my destiny calling me on Earth. Who knows? Maybe there is where I will find something to become a Senshi of." To Be Continued Next Time....
